Hawaiian Telcom, a cable, internet and telecom provider, has recently dropped Newsmax to censor our news and your voice!
Hawaiian Telcom is available throughout Hawaii.
In the middle of negotiations and without notice, Hawaiian Telcom dropped Newsmax!
They did this even though Newsmax is now the 4th highest rated cable news channel and a top 20 cable channel!
Hawaiian Telcom dropped Newsmax to keep over 80 channels that have less ratings and who they pay more money to.

FACT: Hawaiian Telcom is keeping 11 liberal news channels but dropping Newsmax
Hawaiian Telcom says Newsmax is too costly
FACT: Hawaiian Telcom pays more than 80 other channels that have lower ratings than Newsmax more money
Newsmax was seeking about $1 per subscriber per year. Meanwhile, Hawaiian Telcom pays CNN over $12 a year per subscriber – even though Newsmax’s ratings are almost equal!
Hawaiian Telcom claims Newsmax negotiated in bad faith
FACT: Hawaiian Telcom dropped Newsmax as negotiations with their agent, the NCTC, were on-going.
Newsmax negotiated in good faith and actually came to a fair agreement with the NCTC. But now Hawaiian Telcom won’t sign it!
Hawaiian Telcom claims Newsmax is “free” — why should they pay?
FACT: They knew it’s only temporarily free, and they will never be charged at any time the service is free.
Bottomline: It is clear to us Hawaiian Telcom made a POLITICAL decision to drop Newsmax. They don’t want opposing views to their liberal perspective.
